Ripple Music and Devil to Pay Auction Extremely Rare Test Pressing of Fate is Your Muse to Benefit the Medical Needs of Doommantia Founder, Ed Barnard

Ripple Music and Devil to Pay Auction Extremely Rare Test Pressing of Fate is Your Muse to Benefit the Medical Needs of Doommantia Founder, Ed Barnard

Ripple Music is proud to announce the latest in their ongoing series of rare test pressing auctions for charity, this time benefiting the medical needs of Doommantia founder, Ed Barnard.  The long-running site, Doommantia (www.doommantia.com) is one of the leading forces bringing CD Reviews, Interviews, Authorized free downloads and Promotion for bands in the Doom, Stoner, Psychedelic, Drone, Sludge Metal genres.  The site also has an active forum (www.doommantiaforum.com) for heavy rock maniacs to share ideas and views, creating a solid doom rock community.

For those unaware, Ed had been forced into homeless by a medical condition but still manages to keep the Doommantia site viable online. Ed suffered a series of  heart attacks that forced Ed to become unemployed.  Those events, plus the exorbitant cost of cardiac medications made paying the rent an impossibility and he was evicted from his place in Aberdeen, Washington. Now homeless, the doom and metal community has been rallying around his cause with benefit concerts and a compilation of 39 heavy bands that all donated their music to help Ed's cause. The compilation,  Doommantia Vol. 1, is available at: doommantiavol1.bandcamp.com

Now Ripple Music offers their assistance to help a musical brother in need.  After establishing an ongoing company policy of giving back to the community, Ripple Music has auctioned off some of their rarest test pressings to help the BP Spill Gulf Clean Up, Wounded Warriors, Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research, and Joplin Missouri Tornado Relief, amongst others. The auction of the extremely rare test press for Devil To Pay's Fate is Your Muse will continue that tradition, offering heavy rock/doom fans a chance to get one of only two test-pressings ever to be released to the public.

Fate is Your Muse was unleashed upon an eagerly-waiting audience, April 9th, 2013 and immediately garnered critical rave reviews, leading Shakefire.com to boast, "If you love Rock music, you have to check out Fate is your Muse and Devil to Pay. If these guys aren't rock legends already, they will be for sure soon."

The Fate is Your Muse Rare Test Press Auction is live on eBay at this location.

100% of proceeds from the auction will be used to help help Mr. Barnard regain his self-sufficiency. Don't miss this chance to own a unique Doom Collectible LP and support the heavy rock community.

Press raves about Fate is Your Muse.

"If you love Rock music, you have to check out "Fate is your Muse" and Devil to Pay. If these guys aren't rock legends already, they will be for sure soon." - Shakefire.com

"I  really feel I can't recommend this enough to the Stoner Rock/Metal heads out there.  From the album's aggressive opener "Prepare To Die" till the Doom-tuned "Beyond The Ether", you'll deal with head-banging Stoner-laden riffs, kickass hard-hitting drumming (hail Chad!), and on top of everything, Steve's essential Grunge-like vocals who definitely sounds like Josh Homme in fluoxetine (prozac).  DEVIL TO PAY deserve our total respect.." - Metal Kaoz

"That is what you get with Fate is Your Muse. A hard-rocking collection of great Sludge/Stoner Metal tracks to rock out to. Hugely entertaining from the word go. Devil To Pay have lost none of their magic. They simply get better with age. If you are already a fan of this great band then you are going to love this album. If you are a new visitor to the world of Devil To Pay then this is a great place to start. If you are a fan of Kyuss, Thin Lizzy, and Black Sabbath then you will be right at home here." - The Sludgelord

Fate is Your Muse is an introspective lyrical journey that careens from the metaphysical, to the absurd, to the pragmatic (and back again), all set to bone crushing heaviness wrapped in elaborate vocal melodies and elegant guitar phrases. Exploring topics such as reincarnation, the end of days, and the thin veil between reality and fantasy, the Indianapolis foursome create a rare musical experience; one that will have heavy rock fans returning for the primal emotional riffs, as well as the complex and heady lyrical content.

"I feel the need to go and dance round a pole. Fate Is Your Muse is the soundtrack to every seedy strip club you ever wanted to go to." [4.5/5] - TBFM Online

"Fate Is Your Muse mixes hard riffing and suave grooves into a twelve track fat album of boot stomping, head moshing magnificence that you didn't even know had been missing from your life." - TheMidlandsRocks.com

"Such a killer find, man. Can't wait to see them live!"
- Dom Lawson (Metal Hammer / Classic Rock)

"Been listening to Mothership all day now and if feels like UFO and Orange Goblin got drunk with St. Vitus, smoked some weed with Blue Cheer and spewed out the tuffest blues-drenched, no frills love child I've heard all month. Some ridiculously badass guitars. And heavy above all else!" -- Sword of Doom

"Try to resist a band that plays blues-laden metal with heavy guitar riffs that is also hoping for intergalactic travel. Mothership is a three piece from Dallas that alternates between an almost AC/DC-like sound on a track like 'City Nights' and a broader, heavier and more epic sound on tracks like 'Cosmic Rain,' 'Angel of Death' and the opener, 'Hallucination.'

Mothership Bio

Rock n' Roll history is rife with brothers working together to create their artistic vision. But rarely do we hear about a full-fledged family unit embarking down the treacherous path of a musical career. In the case of Texas based Mothership, the Brother Juett (Kyle on bass, younger brother Kelley on guitar) enlisted the aid of their father, John Juett, to help get the 'ship off the ground. Raised on a healthy dose of their father's 70's-era record collection, the brothers began crafting songs fueled on the raucous and raw good time vibe when music seemed to know no bounds. Lifting off the pad for the first time in 2010, the band began to gain momentum and notoriety with their unabashed live shows. Knowing that the service of the family patriarch was temporary, Father Juett actively helped his boys find his replacement, and in late 2011, enter the mighty Judge Smith to hammer away on the skins. In early 2012, Mothership entered Crystal Clear Studios with Wo Fat mastermind Kent Stump manning the boards and by mid-year, the band self-released their debut album. It was the combination of the 70's-era heavy rock fuzz and fury mixed with the blistering guitar solos of the NWOBHM-era that drew the bands attention to California-based Heavy Rock label, Ripple Music. In the waning months of 2012, after a successful year of traveling regionally throughout Texas and opening for national acts such as Prong, Red Fang, Gypsyhawk, Earthen Grave, and Lo-Pan, Mothership officially dubbed Ripple Music as its Home Port and began plotting a course for their first U.S. Tour in early 2013.

** - EARTHEN GRAVE featuring Rachael Barton Pine

Formed in 2008, EARTHEN GRAVE is a five-piece Chicago metal band that marries the sounds of metal past and future with a sweaty, pummeling live show. EARTHEN GRAVE boasts an undeniable collective metal and musical pedigree. Each member is an accomplished musician and a veteran of the metal scene, including Ron Holzner who was a member of the seminal and seismic doom pioneers TROUBLE - a band widely regarded as one of the most important unsung American metal bands of all time. In addition, EARTHEN GRAVE has that "extra something special" with occasional guest 6th member live and boasting a Full collaboration on the new release with Rachel Barton Pine. Rachel, a world-renowned classical violinist brings her frightening classical chops to a relatively new instrument, the Viper.

Originally released in 2012, EARTHEN GRAVE's self-titled debut features 10 tracks of blistering Doom and Metal that left the critics grasping for superlatives. Terrorizer Magazine hailed "... EARTHEN GRAVE sounds old school without being retro, managing to go through every element on which lesser bands usually fail with exquisite grace and solemn subtlety..." Now to be reissued through Ripple Music, the new edition of the album, produced by Ron Holzner, has been completely remastered with four bonus tracks including the new song, "death is another word...." with new drummer Chris Wozniak (LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR).

"...they take the Black Sabbath/Pentagram/Witchfinder General formula to another level by adding in Pine's lovely violin work, which gives these crushing songs an almost Kansas-ish feel to them in spots. 4/5" - Sea of Tranquility

"...the integrity and honesty of the musical endeavour shines through, making this a thought-provoking, melancholic metal creation with some real magic..." - Zero Tolerance

"...a modern doom metal classic that will live beyond a mere best-of-the-year bestowing. 4.5/5" - Metal Underground

"One of the best hard rock albums from top to bottom that I have listened to this year."
 - WeLoveMetal.com

"This is an excellent album, catchy, groove rich and addictive . . . all (of the tracks) are of the same catchy, infectious quality. Get a copy and by the second listen I guarantee you will be singing along." [4/5] -  Metal Talk.net

"Just about the best stoner rock band in England right now. Grifter build every one of their songs around monstrously grooving, simple riffs and smooth southern vocals. Something akin to Clutch jamming with Kim Thayil. Several songs, including opener Good Day For Bad News, Preacher And The Devil and Alabama Hotpocket are simply jammed with big riffs, and even when they go for an acoustic blues track to close with Gone Blues they can't help but groove." - JukeBox:Metal
