Prog-Rockers Fen Unveil Shocking New Video for "The Glove" Latest Video from the Acclaimed Ripple Music Album, Of Losing Interest

Following on the heels of their groundbreaking marionette video for "Miracle" off the Trails out of Gloom album, Vancouver progressive rockers FEN are now set to release the latest video for "The Glove" from their fifth and latest album Of Losing Interest.     About the video, main Fen man Doug Harrison says, "I came up with the video idea based on an experience in a public men's room where a guy came out of the stall and wanted my help in putting a white, woolen glove on his hand, which appeared to have something wrong with it. I didn't know if it was a genuine request for help or a trick to get me in a vulnerable position. After I wrote the script, I showed it to the other guys in Fen but no one wanted to be in the video. I also showed it to the guys at our label Ripple Music to see if they would do it. They were apprehensive as well. To follow up this attention, in May of 2011, the management of UK/Israeli prog veterans Blackfield invited Fen to open for them on the Vancouver stop of their North American tour. Northwest Stonercore Maniacs, C.F.A. Unleash New Video for "Kick Rocks!"

The raucous good time Tacoma punkers of C.F.A. (Cody Foster Army) have announced that the first of four upcoming videos is ready for public consumption, and the heavy rockin' trio is partnering up with The Ripple Effect for the world premiere on July 1st. The video for "Kick Rocks" was filmed over the course of several live events from the past year and edited by Killiam Lord, and gives the fans who have yet to experience the live shenanigans of C.F.A. a brief glimpse of the raw power these guys bring to the stage. "It's obvious Kill is a fan of CFA's music," bassist/vocalist Cody Foster explains. "The shots and movement of the camera really flows with the rhythm of the music." "The song 'Of Losing Interest' broke new ground for us. We didn't try to shape it into some convoluted or grandiose structure. We just let the riff be a riff and do its job and we kept the dynamics fairly steady throughout. At one point I considered titling the song, The Grump, based on the fact that the lyrics are from the perspective of someone who detests social interactions and does what he can to either cut them short or avoid them altogether. Overall, the video is a lofi attempt to reveal what might be inside his head." comments vocalist / guitarist Doug Harrison.

Mothership Bio Rock n' Roll history is rife with brothers working together to create their artistic vision. But rarely do we hear about a full-fledged family unit embarking down the treacherous path of a musical career. In the case of Texas based Mothership, the Brother Juett (Kyle on bass, younger brother Kelley on guitar) enlisted the aid of their father, John Juett, to help get the 'ship off the ground. Raised on a healthy dose of their father's 70's-era record collection, the brothers began crafting songs fueled on the raucous and raw good time vibe when music seemed to know no bounds. Lifting off the pad for the first time in 2010, the band began to gain momentum and notoriety with their unabashed live shows. JPT Scare Band Continues Their Mad Ascent with First Live Gig in over 35 Years

 

35 years melted away as if time had never existed.  Terry Swope pick up the axe, Paul Grigsby plugged in the bass, Jeff Littrell took the drum stool and the mythical beast that is JPT Scare Band breathed anew.  35 years ago, JPT stunned unsuspecting minds with their terrorizing jamming and distinctly heavy blues, tearing a swath across the countries mid-section with one performance after another.  Legendary tales leaked from the underground of a guitarist worthy of sharing a stage with Hendrix, a bass player who could stand in for Led Zeppelin, a drummer who could replace Charlie Watts.  But for the last 35 years, these stories and the legends, the myths, of JPT Scare Band live performance were all that existed.

But no more.

2011.  The same year that  Classic Rock Magazine featured JPT Scare Band on their cover-mounted CD, Rhapsody declared JPT Scare Band one of the "10 Essential Proto-Metal bands", and their debut Ripple Music release, Acid Blues is the White Man's Burden soared up the charts, JPT Scare Band took to the stage.  And the legend was reborn!

Blasting out their terrifying acid blues at Crosstown Station with Granmax and the New Lost Souls, July 22nd in their hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, JPT Scare Band proved that they've lost none of their psychedelic madness over the years.

World Premiere of Fen's New Video "Miracle" Debuts on Heavy Planet

 

We’ve been talking about this for a few months and it’s all finally coming true . . . Fen’s first official video is complete and ready to be viewed by the masses! Tuesday, February 8^th, the video for the band's second single from the Trails Out of Gloom album, “Miracle”, will exclusively air on the Heavy Planet web site (hint, hint . . . view the video here .   Heavy Planet) before it’s made available through other viewing avenues. At the same time, “Miracle” is landing on the desks of radio programmers across the nation in a concerted effort to push the track. Produced by Mind of a Snail Co. and featuring a couple of hand-made marionettes, the video tells the visual tale of two young lovers finding out just how miraculous love can be.

“The speaker is pining to regain the initial spark of a relationship,” states singer/guitarist Doug Harrison on the meaning behind the song. “He pleads with whatever mysterious power brought them together, hoping that it will help him fully remember that miraculous union, and through this knowledge, bring them closer together again,” he explains.



In support of Trails Out of Gloom, Vancouver’s progressive alt-gloomsters are preparing for dates across Canada in the Spring, as well as a special tour that will feature live performances in select ghost towns. World Premiere of the First Ever JPT Scare Band Video

Legendary rockers, JPT Scare Band, released some of the most collectible psychedelic/acid rock of all time, and now they're about to release their first ever music video.  Banded together during the tumultuous years of the early 70’s, JPT Scare Band fused a sound equally heavy in hard rocking blues as it was tripped out in psychedelia, creating a sound so imposing that it perfectly reflected the emotions of the era.  Hailed as one of the "lost pioneers of Heavy Metal” by Classic Rock Magazine, JPT Scare Band has seen a resurgence of interest by fans of 1970’s heavy fuzzed out rock.

Now, on the heels of the release of their new album, "Acid Blues is the White Man's Burden" on Ripple Music, JPT will unveil their first ever music video for the new JPT classic, "Not My Fault," a song written by JPT in the '70's but never recorded until the early 2000's.  The video makes direct use of the song's title and biting sarcastic edge as it assails BP for their denial of any blame for the Gulf Oil Spill disaster.  The video is thought provoking and inflammatory, in addition to being a good 'ol rock video, with tons of never before seen footage of JPT Scare Band doing what they do best.

Released as a special event, "Not My Fault," will makes it's exclusive debut as a limited world-wide premiere on some of rock's finest websites.
