Originally self-released in 2012, MOTHERSHIP and Ripple Music have joined forces to re-release this stunning debut record on CD and LP. Mothership is available at www.ripple-music.com.

"Such a killer find, man. Can't wait to see them live!"
- Dom Lawson (Metal Hammer / Classic Rock)

"Been listening to Mothership all day now and if feels like UFO and Orange Goblin got drunk with St. Vitus, smoked some weed with Blue Cheer and spewed out the tuffest blues-drenched, no frills love child I've heard all month. Some ridiculously badass guitars. And heavy above all else!" -- Sword of Doom

"Try to resist a band that plays blues-laden metal with heavy guitar riffs that is also hoping for intergalactic travel. Mothership is a three piece from Dallas that alternates between an almost AC/DC-like sound on a track like 'City Nights' and a broader, heavier and more epic sound on tracks like 'Cosmic Rain,' 'Angel of Death' and the opener, 'Hallucination.'

Mothership Bio

Rock n' Roll history is rife with brothers working together to create their artistic vision. But rarely do we hear about a full-fledged family unit embarking down the treacherous path of a musical career. In the case of Texas based Mothership, the Brother Juett (Kyle on bass, younger brother Kelley on guitar) enlisted the aid of their father, John Juett, to help get the 'ship off the ground. Raised on a healthy dose of their father's 70's-era record collection, the brothers began crafting songs fueled on the raucous and raw good time vibe when music seemed to know no bounds. Lifting off the pad for the first time in 2010, the band began to gain momentum and notoriety with their unabashed live shows. Knowing that the service of the family patriarch was temporary, Father Juett actively helped his boys find his replacement, and in late 2011, enter the mighty Judge Smith to hammer away on the skins. In early 2012, Mothership entered Crystal Clear Studios with Wo Fat mastermind Kent Stump manning the boards and by mid-year, the band self-released their debut album. It was the combination of the 70's-era heavy rock fuzz and fury mixed with the blistering guitar solos of the NWOBHM-era that drew the bands attention to California-based Heavy Rock label, Ripple Music. In the waning months of 2012, after a successful year of traveling regionally throughout Texas and opening for national acts such as Prong, Red Fang, Gypsyhawk, Earthen Grave, and Lo-Pan, Mothership officially dubbed Ripple Music as its Home Port and began plotting a course for their first U.S. Tour in early 2013.

"One of the best hard rock albums from top to bottom that I have listened to this year."
 - WeLoveMetal.com

"This is an excellent album, catchy, groove rich and addictive . . . all (of the tracks) are of the same catchy, infectious quality. Get a copy and by the second listen I guarantee you will be singing along." [4/5] -  Metal Talk.net

"Just about the best stoner rock band in England right now. Grifter build every one of their songs around monstrously grooving, simple riffs and smooth southern vocals. Something akin to Clutch jamming with Kim Thayil. Several songs, including opener Good Day For Bad News, Preacher And The Devil and Alabama Hotpocket are simply jammed with big riffs, and even when they go for an acoustic blues track to close with Gone Blues they can't help but groove." - JukeBox:Metal

Vancouver Prog Rockers FEN To Play Powder Rocket Stage At World Ski & Snowboard Fest In Whistler, BC On April 20th

Top Left to Right = Bass: Jeff Caron | Drums: Nando Polesel
Bottom Left to Right = Lead Guitars/Backing Vocals: Sam Levin | Guitars/Vocals: Doug Harrison

Vancouver prog rockers Fen have been invited to warm things up on the Powder Rocket stage at the World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler, BC on April 20th. Kicking off their set at noon, Fen will be sharing the stage with DJ Wake Up, Versus The Nothing and Deadwax Collective.

For more info please visit the following link: http://powderrocket.com/wssf/
In additional news, FEN have announced they will be giving away FREE band T-shirts to make room for new merchandise as they encourage their fans to share their tunes and increase their social media presence.

The band has commented the following:

"Dear Grumps,

We're clearing out our merch closet and using it as a shameless excuse to pull a few more listeners out of the woodwork. We'll give away 10 T-shirts if we reach 1000 likes on our facebook page:  www.facebook.com/fenmusic. After that, we'll give away 5 shirts for every additional 500 likes until supplies are gone. The selection will be made on April 12th.

And how will we make the crucial decision of who gets the shirts?
We're still sorting that part out. We're considering a kind of ritualistic monkey dance that will involve the four of us uprooting house plants then hurling our feces at the computer monitor. Whichever names get covered up on our facebook page, we'll contact those people and mail the shirts to their homes.
Shamlessly yours,
Doug, Jeff, Sam & Nando"

Fen's latest music video 'A Long Line Final' from their fifth and latest album 'Of Losing Interest' released last summer via indie label Ripple Music to follow up their fourth release 'Trails Out Of Gloom'.

Video - A Long Line
a long line - fen (ripple music)

fen - miracle - official music video
Their heaviest and most technical album to date, 'Of Losing Interest' is an album that revisits the band’s harder edged metallic past while retaining the melodic sensibilities that made 'Trails Out of Gloom' so alluring. Co-Produced by Mike Southworth, his fourth with the band, 'Of Losing Interest' is a contrast of technical virtuosity layered against warm low end organics.

Track Listing: Of Losing Interest
1. Riddled 03:55
2. Of Losing Interest 04:59
3. Nice For Three Days 04:04
4. A Long Line 04:43
5. The Glove 03:23
6. Drunken Relief 04:26
7. Light Up The End 03:34
8. Pilot Plant 06:03
9. Snake Path 03:17
About:
In January of 1998, in the mountain shadows of Nelson, British Columbia, a creatorship emerged called Fen. The road has been long for this dark-leaning band, which after more than a decade of obscurity, was finally ushered into the prog and metal fan’s psyche. This occurred in 2010, when Fen signed to California label Ripple music and released their fourth album Trails Out Of Gloom. The album garnered impressive reviews from bloggers and print magazines worldwide, including mention in the UK’s Classic Rock magazine and a perfect 16/16 score from the US authority on prog: Progressions Magazine. To follow up this attention, in May of 2011, the management of UK/Israeli prog veterans Blackfield invited Fen to open for them on the Vancouver stop of their North American tour.

To date, Fen’s music has sold in more than fifteen countries, and with the help of dedicated bloggers, two AAA-radio campaigns, and a music video for the single “Miracle,” the band’s following continues to expand. In surprising contrast to the dark nature of Fen’s music, their songs have been placed on HGTV (Home and Garden Television) and Animal Planet’s, From Underdog to Wonderdog, among others. The song “Through the Night” will soon be available on the video game RockBand.

Fen has performed at clubs and festivals throughout BC, and in the summer of 2011, took part in the Forest Symphony at UBC’s Pacific Spirit Park. Fen’s fifth album, Of Losing Interest, will be available in August 2012, and is a return to the heavier aspects of the band's sound. It is their second release under the Ripple Music label, and it brings together a band line up first assembled in 1999.

“These Canadians are a talented bunch, with their influences ranging from Tool, Porcupine Tree and a smidgeon of 70s-era prog. The result is a nifty mingle that’s highly inventive and replete with enough catchy hooks clamouring for more. FEN are technically gifted without ever overplaying. On the heavier tracks here, such as ‘Nice For Three Days’ and ‘Of Losing Interest’, they demonstrate a flair for being imaginative while retaining a purpose, something so new, wannabe prog metal bands seem to lack.” – Classic Rock Magazine

“10/10” - Steve Coughlin, Power of Metal

“Fen combine more traditional prog  passages with heavy riffs creating a unique sound. The band certainly know the way around their respective instruments  and have the talent to pull off the complex passages.”  –  Get Ready To Rock!

“Now they are back with a stunning new album titled ‘Of losing interest’, which musically goes into a very high quality Progressive Rock/Metal direction. It is especially thanks to the superb vocalwork of singer DOUG HARRISON that FEN’s music is lifted way above other bands in this extensive genre called Prog. 8.6/10 ”  –  Strutter ‘zine

“FEN – “Of Losing Interest” (’12) – Once again, Ripple music strikes! This is the latest from progressive metal Canadians FEN & it’s a scorcher.. With a decidedly heavier flavor than their last offering, this one bursts forth with nods to Rush, Altered Moves Two (anybody remember them?!) & more, with lead guitar that holds its own with the likes of shermann & denner. This is friggin’ GOOOOD, maaan!”  – Ray’s Realm
“This fifth album from these Vancouver progressionalists – and their second for the impressive Californian label, Ripple Music – is certainly an interesting offering, and definitely one which bears more than one listen, given its complexity and depth.” – Planet Mosh

“Fen’s “Of Losing Interest” is groove laden and hooky and heavy. It’s a great combination of musical elements.  Doug Harrison, Sam Levin, Jeff Caron, and Nando Polesel have once again created an album that will have the reviewers and bloggers salivating. “Of Losing Interest” is a definite buy.” –This is not a Scene.com

“Certainly, Of Losing Interest is different than its predecessor, but not entirely unexpected from Fen. Bring heavier rock, even metal, the album still offers the listener their darker side. Recommended. 4 / 5”  –  Dangerdog

“If the likes of Tool, Incubus, Porcupine Tree, Soundgarden do it for you than Fen and Of Losing Interest is a must. The album offers so much more though that all will find plenty of pleasure within its walls, it is melodic rock at its best.” - Ringmaster

“There are pictures everywhere entwined together and lead us to Tool and Porcupine Trees paths that are really spectacular. The new album of Fen is a very good example of progressive, melodic rock music that you must hear to understand the magic of the sound that comes out through the nine compositions «Of Losing Interest». Hear it!”– Hard and Heavy Webzine

“Taking on different styles like this can be an ambitious undertaking, but pulling it off can be tough because you have to have the playing skills and really be comfortable with the styles. Fen do all that and more plus make it look easy and sound spectacular.” – Heavy Metal Time Machine

“I found ‘Of Losing Interest’ to have a great sense of balance of the different genres of music that inspired its production. The lyrics are strong and meaningful, and this is definitely a cd that sticks in one’s head.”  - Rock Over America Magazine

C.F.A. Signs Distro Deal with Ripple Music, Debut Album Set for October Release

Welcome to the world of Stoner-core!

It's blistering in intensity. Riff-mad in execution. Blissed out in stoner madness and amped up in hardcore fury. Stoner-core is a brutal assault of stoner retro-rock mastery with the attitude of pure punk. And C.F.A. are on the front line of this mutated beast of rock fury.

Now, Tacoma, WA-based hard rockers, C.F.A. (Cody Foster Army) and Ripple Music are going to unleash the power of Stoner-core onto the masses. Ripple Music is proud to announce world-wide distribution of C.F.A's first full-length album, Managed By The Devil, Brought To You By The Grace Of God. The sixteen track album of blitzing Stoner/punk anthems will be in stores on October 23rd, 2012.

And keeping with their middle-finger-to-the-status-quo ethos, check out the band's “backward is forward” CD cover design, where the band take something as standard as CD packaging and blow it up to serve their own mad principles.

“Rock n’ Roll is supposed to be carefree, tumultuous, and above all . . . fun!” states the bands namesake Cody Foster on the unique disc packaging of the album, “Yeah, it’s not normal, but we’re not normal. Why take something as fun as music and make it so serious?”

Managed By the Devil . . . was engineered and produced by, none other than, Tony Reed (Stone Axe/Mos Generator), who captured the bands raw live intensity to near perfection and delivers a blitzkrieg of punk-infused stoner rock to a salivating audience.

In conjunction with the release of the album, C.F.A. will be hammering away at a string of live shows throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Catch ‘em on the road with Mos Generator:

Sept. 15th - ACME - Tacoma, WA
Sept. 21st - Coo Coo Nest - Port Angeles, WA
Oct. 6th - The Break Room - Bremerton, WA

GRIFTER Gear Up for Extended Studio Time to Record Follow-up to Their Critically-Praised Ripple Music Debut

They stormed the stage at Deserfest. They laid wasted to the the ears and minds of the U.K. on tour with Orange Goblin. They created a crater sized hole where the stage used to be at Freak Valley. They were called to lend their brand of hard-rawking, Harley blooze n' roll to the American television show, Dog, The Bounty Hunter.

Now the story continues.

Following up on a year that found Grifter releasing one of the best albums of 2011 (according to notable rock resources The Soda Shop. The Obelisk. The Ripple Effect. Heavy Planet. Chybucca Sounds, Steaming Heathen, and Sonic Abuse), U.K.'s own oil-and-chain sweat rockers are aiming to take their hard-hitting sound higher and farther than ever before.

In between times sharing the stage with Orange Goblin, Roadsaw, Black Pyramid, Leafhound, Truckfighters, Valiant Thorr, Gentlemans Pistols, Colour Haze, Stubb, and XII Boar (and having a song appear on a recent Stargun British Rock Compilation CD) Grifter have been making time in the studio writing and recording the eagerly anticipated follow-up to their chart-busting debut.

As main Grifter, Ollie tells it, "Writing for the album has resumed in a big way. In the space of one practice we have written a new song that has totally blown my balls off called Fire Water. It's pretty epic, I think it could be a centrepiece of the new album. We also started jamming ideas for another new tune that should come together very quickly called Big Man Blues which is utterly filthy, you'll need to take a shower afterwards!!! It's heavy as hell but all done on slide with a gnarly blues vibe and a stomping beat that could raise John Bonham from the grave."

That means Grifter will be delievering just what their legions of growing fans are yelling for: more gritty, dirty, and bloozy, hard-driving, riff-mad rock n' roll!

While the anticipation builds, don't forget to check out Grifter's one-foot-in-the-gutter debut for hard-rock specialty label, Ripple Music. And don't forget that Grifter’s riff rock first appeared on the Ripple roster on the Heavy Ripples, Vol. 1 compilation with the band contributing two barnstorming, high-octane rock classics!

Read the praise for Grifter’s self-titled debut and check out the “Best of” lists for yourself.

STONE AXE Set To Continue The Rock N’ Roll Party With Live Album Release

Port Orchard, WA – Three years, two full length albums, an EP, countless appearances on compilations and 7” projects, deluxe re-issues of out of print albums . . . the only thing missing from the Stone Axe repertoire is a full length live album. Wait no longer! Stone Axe and Ripple Music will be releasing the first full length live album from the Washington based rock n’ roll preservationists on May 8th in North America (May 7th in the UK). Stone Axe: Captured Live! is a fifteen track time capsule from the 2011 edition of the Roadburn Festival held on an annual basis in Holland. This recording, indeed, captured the band in all of their rock n’ roll fury, steamrolling through a raucous set of music that has the crowd cheering, singing, and clapping along.

“Captured Live! was recorded during our appearance at the Roadburn Festival, which was also the last night of our 2011 UK/European tour,” explains multi-instrumentalist and band leader, Tony Reed. “We’d been on the road for a long time, we were worn out, and we were playing a million miles an hour – just on the fringe of losing all control. It was an awesome and exhilarating experience and we think this recording captures the emotions of the night, as well as the weeks leading up to it.”

Stone Axe: Captured Live! is available through Nail Distribution in North America and Code 7 Distribution throughout the UK.

In addition to this release, Stone Axe were recently handpicked by the editors of Metal Hammer to have their song "Old Soul", from Stone Axe II - Deluxe Edition (available now from Ripple Music), included on a special issue covermount CD. This special issue pays homage to Black Sabbath is entitled 'The Sons of Sabbath' and will be available at the end of May!

Here’s what the press has to say:

"This is one impressive live release. Since I’ve been unable to attend any past Roadburn Festivals, Stone Axe has brought Roadburn to me. Anyone in the same boat as me can certainly appreciate it. This is one of those “must own” albums."  --  The Soda Shop

"Stone Axe - Captured Live! Roadburn Festival 2011 has just been released on the Ripple Music label, and it is an amazing slice of in-your-face rock and roll. In fact, if it had been released in 1974 instead of 2012, Stone Axe would be flying from gig to gig in a jumbo jet with their name on the side, and Tony Reed would be a household name and worth a fortune." -- Rock Guitar Daily

"Seriously ever track is worth hearing and the band is seriously tight live. For those who are already fans of this band this is a welcome addition to their catalog. For those who have never heard this fantastic act then this would serve as a fine introduction."  --  Heavy Metal Time Machine

Mos Generator 10th Anniversary Edition LP/CD Set for North American Release

Mark it on your calendars, the deluxe edition of the debut Mos Genrator album, featuring a full length LP, a CD with previously unreleased tracks and a full incendiary live concert, and a digital download of further live, demo, and jam tracks will be available throughout North America on April 10th, 2012! In conjunction with Nail Distribution, Ripple Music is proud to announce that this quintessential debut album and amazing musical package will now be available to a wider market of insatiable rock n’ roll fans.

“This Mos Generator package is one of those sets that speaks to the lifelong Mos fan, as well as those who are discovering the band for the first time,” states Tony Reed, singer and guitarist for the band. “It was a goal for myself and the label to create a package that was affordable, something that looked cool, and was packed with some special moments from the bands ten year history.”

Featuring over two and a half hours of music, the Mos Generator 10th Anniversary Edition was designed with the music fan in mind. The package includes three popular formats for listening to the bands 70’s-inspired hard rock in the way of 12” vinyl, CD, and digital download, and all packaged in an eye-popping 12” gatefold jacket.

Here’s what the press is saying:

“ . . . like the rampaging inhabitants of a sonic Jurassic Park; thunderously heavy, jaw droppingly magnificent and maybe just a little bit scary. This is music that went extinct many years ago, but against all expectation and logic, here it is alive and thriving in the modern age. 4/5”  --  The BCFM Sunday Rockshow

"Of all the second-wave Sabbath types, these guys were and remain by far the most original, with tricky prog tempos, tunefully sludgy Tony Iommi-style lo-register riffage and a sense of humor to rival their sense of purpose. If metal is your thing and you slept on this stuff when it first came out – and a lot of people did, this was before myspace, let alone youtube – now’s a good time to rediscover them."  --  Lucid Culture

“Really a fantastic package all around. Once again Ripple Music not only delivers the goods, but they go the extra and exceed all my expectations on this one."  --  Heavy Metal Time Machine

Trucker Diablo's "Drink Beer, Destroy" Debuts on ROCK BAND™ for XBox

Ripple Music is proud to announce that the rising hard-rock band from Northern Ireland, Trucker Diablo, in addition to being scheduled to appear at Hammerfest next month, have just made their debut on the hit game ROCK BAND™ for XBox.

The band's epic party song "Drink Beer, Destroy" has been available for download and game play through the ROCK BAND™ Network Store. Fans have already been posting videos and photos of their attempts to master the high-energy Trucker Diablo track. You can check out a shot at the high-score courtesy of Vargtime on YouTube at this location. One fan went as far as to re-create the band members as ROCK BAND™ avatars and posted it on Facebook. Images can be seen here . . . Trucker Diablo

Ripple Music, the home of authentic, retro rock and metal, signed Northern Ireland’s most explosive rock n’ roll importafter hearing how the band blew away the crowds at 2011’s Download Festival where they also made fast friends with Def Leppard's, Joe Elliot, Thin Lizzy's Ricky Warwick and none other than Dee Snider.

Since then, there's been no looking back for Trucker Diablo or Ripple Music as the band's debut The Devil Rhythm has been garnering widespread accolades and lead off single/video "Drink Beer, Destroy" has been getting steady play on BBC Radio 1, Kerrang Radio and Kerrang TV. The Devil Rhythm has been converting rock fans the world over with it's cohesive, unified, high energy rock tracks, slick and polished indelivery, but served up raw and forceful. "Drink Beer, Destroy" has proven to be an instant classic that has fans raisingtheir fists and singing along to the anthemic chorus. And it doesn't stop there. "Juggernaut" features a guest appearance by vocalist, Ricky Warwick, the acclaimed voice of The Almighty and now Thin Lizzy. "Stand Up And Fight" is another song from the album that sounds as though it should be played before an arena-sized stadium crowd. The song "Voodoo" is a blues-rock number with a good groove. "Big Truck" is yet another example that TRUCKER DIABLO can compete with the best when it comes to hard rock, combining a massive chorus with chugging guitars.

And in case you haven't had the opportunity to experience the Big Truck live, Trucker Diablo has announced a series of UK dates centered around Hammerfest that will see the band heading from Ireland over to England and beyond. Tour dates are below.

Lock up your daughters and hide your wives, cause when the big Truck rolls into town, high -octane rock mayhem will be sure to follow!

The Devil Rhythm is now available at the Ripple Music Store and world-widethrough Clearspot International in Europe and Code 7 Distribution in the UK on February 6th, 2012.

BBC Gig of the Week: Trucker Diablo!

Once again, our GOTW goes right up to 11. A noisy bill of St. Hellfire, Novice, Audio Illusion and Forth Exit is enough to dispose of the January blues with an injection of solid riffola, and that's before you get to headliners Trucker Diablo.

Just like The Answer (who are big fans, by the way), TD have made early inroads to conquering the states, their album having been picked up and released by Californian based label Ripple Music. Also like the Answer, they have some pretty hefty names amongst their fan base - Joe Elliot (Def Leppard), Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy) and Dee Snider (Twister Sister), for a start. Fancy joining those names? If so, Saturday night's show at Ma Nelson's is the place to be!

Over to Tom Harte, frontman with Trucker Diablo:

"2012 so far looks to be an excellent year with us playing Hammerfest in Wales and supporting Skindred, both in March. We've a bunch of shows set up in the UK this year so it’s great to get a run out close to home before we head away. This will be our Belfast album launch, so come along and have a good night. Its our party and you're all invited!'

Grifter's Breakout Year Keeps Getting Bigger; Band Announces New Tour Dates with Orange Goblin and Metal Hammer Takes Notice

Captain Zen Beyond has called them "the best classic rock band around" and the album "brilliant without any weak points." The Obelisk says they "sound like fans of 70's rock creating their own riffs and grooves to universal appeal." Classic Rock Magazine has seen their brand of irreverent rock to be fitting enough for one of their cover-mounted compilation CD's. Grifter has taken the hard-rock scene by storm with their new self-titled album of gritty, blues-based biker rock.

Now the world is taking notice!  Hot on the heels of Metal Hammer's proclamation that Grifter "will rock your ass ragged with change to spare!" Grifter are proud to announce that they've been chosen as the opening act for Orange Goblin's 2012 UK Tour in support of their 7th album "Euolgy for the Damned".

Come see Grifter with Orange Goblin as they redefine "rock" at the following locations:
Sat 7th - Desertfest at The Underworld, Camden
Sun 8th - The Fleece, Bristol (with Church Of Misery, Dopefight and Slabdragger)
Mon 9th - The Old Bell, Derby
Tues 10th - The Classic Grand, Glasgow
Weds 11th - Sound Control, Manchester
Thurs 12th - The Garage, Swansea
Fri 13th - The White rabbit, Plymouth
Sat 14th - The O2 Academy, Oxford

The eleven track album Grifter is the band's first full-length effort with indie rock label Ripple Music, however, Grifter’s unique one-foot-in-the-gutter, sleaze rock sound first appeared on the Ripple roster with their dual contribution to the Heavy Ripples, Vol. 1 compilation released earlier this year with the band contributing two barnstorming, high-octane rock classics!

The album and Heavy Ripples Compilation double 7" are both available now at the Ripple Music Store and world-wide through Clearspot International in Europe and Code 7 Distribution in the UK.

JPT Scare Band Continues Their Mad Ascent with First Live Gig in over 35 Year

What a year it's been for JPT Scare Band!  After plying their frenzied, hard-rocking, acid blues trade in near obscurity, the world is waking up to JPT Scare Band's brand of acidified blues and the love and accolades keep pouring in.  Classic Rock Magazine, featured JPT Scare Band on their November edition cover-mounted CD, Rhapsody declared JPT Scare Band one of the "10 Essential Proto-Metal bands", and their debut Ripple Music release, Acid Blues is the White Man's Burden soared up the charts at CDBaby.com to the #2 in the Extended Jams Category where it has continued to hold that position for nearly a full year!

As the world wakes up to the masterful acid jamming that is JPT Scare Band, the boys are readying to unleash a new treat for their legions of fans, young and old: their first live performance in over 35 years!  Without a doubt, JPT Scare Band forged their reputation with their incendiary live performances and now's your chance to witness the band doing what it does best.  JPT Scare Band is blasting it out live at Crosstown Station with Granmax and the New Lost Souls, July 22nd in their hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.

Don't miss this night of psychedelic madness as Kansas City welcomes back their wayward sons and opens their minds and doors for a night of searing acid blues.  Expect some JPT Scare Band classics to blitz the audience, and if rumors are correct, keep your ears open for two brand new songs!
It seems the world is waking up to the terror that is JPT Scare Band.  The Rock and Roll Report  proclaimed Acid Blues is the White Man’s Burden, “sizzles with fuzzy guitars, gritty vocals, and extended jam sessions that instantly transport you to what feels like a Hendrix concert. Terry Swope has got to be one of the world's most underrated guitarists! If you miss the glory days of Cream, Deep Purple, and Jimi Hendrix, you have to check out these uncovered gems from JPT Scare Band.”  Here Comes the Flood decrees that Acid Blues “holds its own against famous niche sharers, such as Cream, Ten Years After, Rory Gallagher and the mighty Led Zeppelin!” and Sonic Abuse gushes that Acid Blues is simply a “gem to treasure.”

Don't miss your chance to catch them live!   Details and tickets at: Crosstown Station.

Legendary Acid Rockers, JPT Scare Band, Drop Hard Rocking New Single and Video “Long Day” to Celebrate National 420 Day. Exclusive World Premiere on The Obelisk

After more than 3 solid months of Acid Blues is the White Man’s Burden, holding down a top 5 spot in CD Baby.com’s Extended Jam Category, legendary acid rockers, JPT Scare Band come roaring back with a blitzing assault on their newest single, “Long Day.”  Featuring the sizzling guitar work of Terry Swope, “Long Day,” tears through more than 7 minutes of searing guitar leads, massive bass riffs, and mammoth drum jamming, all in the definitive JPT Scare Band style.

To make things even more appropriate, JPT Scare Band and Ripple Music will release the single and world-premiere of the psychedelic video on April 20, 2011, National Weed Day.  The term 420 originated from a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in California in 1971. The teens met after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke out at the Louis Pasteur statue.  Since then, the date has become legendary in the Stoner Rock community.  An ethos JPT Scare Band embraces whole heartedly.

After years of plying their frenzied, hard-rocking, acid blues trade in near obscurity, the love and accolades keep pouring in for JPT Scare BandClassic Rock Magazine honored JPT by including their last single “Not My Fault” on their November cover-mounted CD.   After previously naming JPT Scare Band one of the “lost pioneers of heavy metal,” Classic Rock continued the love fest proclaiming that “JPT Scare Band plied a terrifying form of ear-bludgeoning hard rock that was so far ahead of its time, people are still trying to catch up.”

The world premiere of the hard-rocking, definitively heavy psych video for “Long Day,” will make its debut April 20th exclusively at The Obelisk, one of stoner rock’s premiere websites and the home of The Obelisk Forum, a watering hole for thousands of fans of hard, heavy, stoner and doom rock.  You can find the video here: The Obeliskhttp://theobelisk.net/obelisk/2011/04/19/jptvid/

“Long Day” will be available as a digital single from CD Baby and all fine digital music emporiums.   Meanwhile, Acid Blues is the White Man’s Burden is still available in limited quantities from Ripple Music in two-toned, gatefold, double-LP with two bonus tracks, Deluxe digipack CD, or digital at www.ripple-music.com
